Start with the language you need today
If you are preparing to move to Lithuania, a Spanish course is not a substitute for the phrases you need at a local shop. If you are preparing for a Spanish conversation, an app with an appealing interface but no Spanish course will not meet that goal either.
Kalbo’s website separates its live Lithuanian offering from languages marked as coming soon. Base a subscription decision on what you can open and practice now. A roadmap is useful context, but it should not decide which app you buy for an upcoming trip.
Use rescue help to finish the exchange
Getting stuck does not have to end a practice conversation. First decide what you want the other person to understand. Ask for help expressing that one meaning, use the suggested wording, and continue to the next turn. Afterwards, try the difficult reply once more without reading it.
That is a useful way to approach Kalbo’s rescue tools. In Yapkin’s supported practice, the same learning goal applies: understand the help well enough to use the phrase in a new answer. Avoid treating a successful copied reply as the end of the task.
Make the first session practical
Choose a situation you expect to encounter soon, such as asking for something in a shop. Keep the request short and include one likely follow-up. Judge the session by whether you understand the exchange and know which phrase to revisit, rather than by how long you keep the microphone active.
If Spanish is your actual goal, start with ordering coffee and compare options in the Spanish speaking app guide. If Lithuanian is the goal, Kalbo belongs on your shortlist and Yapkin currently does not.
